We are extremely proud to announce that Embridge Consulting has officially achieved the next level in the Disability Confident scheme, moving from Level 1 (Committed) to Level 2, Disability Confident Employer in just 11 months.

In November 2016, the Government launched their Disability Confident scheme with the aim to provide employers with the skills, examples and confidence needed to recruit, retain and develop disabled employees.

Today, over half of workplaces are still missing out on disabled talent. By being a part of this scheme, we are directly combatting stereo typical and antiquated views on disability within the workplace.

Disability Confident Employer

Achieving our Level 2 status means we are taking all the core actions required of a Disability Confident Employer and demonstrates that we have sustained, progressed and developed our commitment to challenging attitudes towards disability. Providing inclusive and accessible recruitment to all as well as remaining dedicated to supporting existing employees who have or may develop disabilities during their working careers, is a key value of the scheme and one we champion.

We are super proud to be one of thousands of businesses continuing to bridge the gap when it comes to supporting fair and equal treatment, whilst overcoming inequality and discovering a wider talent pool within the disabled community.

Over the next 12 months, we will be working hard towards obtaining our full attainment as a certified ‘Disability Confident Leader’ company.
