Gravesham Business Awards 2019 – Embridge Make the Finals!

We are super thrilled and proud to announce that Embridge Consulting has reached the finals of the Gravesham Business Awards 2019! As if that wasn’t exciting enough news, our very own Chloe Parfitt is also a finalist in the Apprenticeship of the Year 2019 category!

Gravesham Council launched the Gravesham Business awards in 2016 with the backing of a number of high-profile local businesses and sponsors to celebrate the success of its local businesses. Regardless of company size or turnover, the only entry prerequisite is that the company pays its business rates to Gravesham Council and has been trading for a year, which means there is fierce competition with such a diverse spectrum of businesses jostling for the top spot.

Following our nomination earlier this year for the Business of the Year 2019 award, CEO Emma O’Brien, went on to nominate Chloe Parfitt, our very first hired apprentice, for the Apprenticeship of the Year 2019 Award, following her successful completion of the programme last year. Chloe has since secured a permanent position within our Managed ERP team and is a fully-fledged Service Desk Consultant with already a year’s experience under her belt. Being able to shine the spotlight on our apprenticeship programme through an awards opportunity has been the icing on the cake with Chloe becoming a finalist.

In the run-up to the awards ceremony evening on 4th October where the winners will be announced, the judging panel visited our Kent offices last week to put Emma and Chloe through their paces with tough interviews as to why they deserved to be finalists within their categories.

The Chair of Judges, Keith Mason, has been judging local business awards for over 10 years. What he and his team are looking for is a range of measures that are relevant to most businesses irrespective of their size, which means ours must really stand out from the crowd if we stand a chance of winning. Sparkle, passion, innovation, teamwork and good old fashion customer service are top of their wish list.

With nominations and interviews done and dusted, all that remains is for us to sit back and wait for the awards night.

We already feel like winners, having survived the interview process and making it to the finals.

Excited to be attending an all-singing, all-dancing black-tie gala event next month, the awards aim to give local businesses like us the profile and recognition they deserve and is also a fantastic opportunity to showcase our business achievements.

We are overjoyed to have made it this far and feel privileged to be joining other local businesses and peers for a night of local business celebration!

We are delighted and honoured to receive recognition through these awards and this is to be celebrated by every single member of the Embridge team who make the Compnay what it is today. I am very proud of the passion and commitment our entire team display on a daily basis that not only enable Embridge to deliver outstanding services & products to our customers but make it such a great place to work! I feel very lucky to be surrounded by some extremely talented people and being nominated as a finalist is credit to everyone here.
