Case Study – U4BW Upgrade Project
Making a move to modernise an outdated finance system our client moved to the Unit4 Business World solution to provide a system for their general and purchase ledger systems.

Due to their current version becoming unsupported, potentially increasing their costs to continue maintaining the MS2 system, our client took the decision to upgrade to Business World MS6.
Following a recommendation from their Unit4 account manager, the client approached Embridge Consulting to quote for the U4BW upgrade.
With a limited timeframe to deliver the upgrade and moving to our cloud-hosted environment, Embridge Consulting acted swiftly to move the project forward, delivering the upgrade in under 2 1/2 months using the MERP team for project management and issue resolution.
Following our initial conversations with Embridge Consulting, they were quick to respond and had a very good knowledge of U4BW and were able to provide us with a cloud hosting solution that provided both flexibility and the right price.
The project, a like for like upgrade, delivering no real changes to functionality other than a move to our Cloud hosted environment.
Delivered via our Managed Service partner QTC, the upgrade threw very few barriers in the way of the project – the data migration was pretty straight forward and the upgrade team overcame a number of issues unrelated to the Business World solution.
Weekly project management calls kept the upgrade on track and resolved any issues before they became a problem – ensuring a smooth transition to the latest version.
Embridge Consulting kept the whole project flowing smoothly. Having Embridge Consulting involved was like having an extension to our IT department. They were quick to respond and help with any issues as they came up. There was never ever any question of whose remit it fell within. I found them extremely professional, they know their business & we were very impressed.
