Product Manager

Employment Type Full-time
Location UK Hybrid Kent or Bristol with 3 days per week in the office
Closing Date 30th April 2025

We’re looking for a Product Manager to drive the evolution of our Embridge productised services, with a primary focus on our Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) offering. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on innovation, shaping service-led propositions and ensuring our offerings remain competitive and aligned with market needs.

This role is critical in ensuring our transformation services deliver measurable value to customers. Acting as a key link between sales, marketing, delivery, and customer success, the Product Manager will help define service propositions, develop go-to-market strategies, and continuously optimise offerings based on customer feedback, industry trends, and commercial insights. The role also involves identifying gaps in our portfolio and evaluating strategic partnerships whether technology providers or consultancy firms to strengthen our service capabilities.

A critical aspect of this role will be evaluating market trends, identifying gaps in our portfolio, and assessing where strategic partnerships may be required to enhance our offerings. Where relevant, the Product Manager will be responsible for recommending and shaping partnerships with technology providers or consultancy firms, ensuring we have the right expertise and solutions in place to meet customer needs effectively.

Unlike traditional software product management, this role is service-led, focusing on developing and managing structured transformation offerings rather than software feature roadmap. While our integration platform plays a role in our portfolio, the primary focus is on driving strategic service innovation – ensuring BTaaS delivers tangible value, enhances customer experience, and strengthens our competitive position.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on innovation, commercial strategy, and customer-centric thinking. The ideal candidate will be passionate about business transformation, value-led service models, and shaping offerings that make a measurable impact – whether through internal development or strategic partnerships that enhance our capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

Product strategy and roadmap

  • Develop and own the BTaaS and productised services roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs, industry trends, and commercial goals.
  • Define clear value propositions, pricing models, and positioning strategies to maximise adoption and ROI.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor positioning, and portfolio gaps.
  • Identify and recommend strategic partnerships (technology or consultancy) where appropriate, to strengthen our offerings.

Service definition and development

  • Define clear service propositions, value statements, and commercial models for productised services that address customer pain points and evolving business challenges.
  • Work with delivery teams to standardise, enhance, and refine existing service offerings, ensuring they are repeatable and scalable.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including service descriptions/product sheets and commercial models.
  • Oversee the development of supporting assets, including frameworks, documentation, and sales enablement materials.

Go-to-Market and commercialisation

  • Define go-to-market strategies and pricing models for all product offerings.
  • Partner with sales and marketing to create compelling messaging, sales collateral, and campaign plans.
  • Partner with marketing to understand customer personas and ensure that services are effectively positioned to meet their needs.
  • Provide training and enablement to sales teams, ensuring they can articulate value propositions effectively.
  • Oversee commercial performance, making data-driven recommendations to optimise revenue and customer adoption.

Customer and market insight

  • Gather feedback from customers, sales, and delivery teams to refine service offerings and roadmap priorities, ensuring they remain competitive and valuable.
  • Ensure an ongoing feedback loop to refine and improve offerings based on real-world usage.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to align BTaaS offerings with long-term customer transformation goals.
  • Stay informed on best practices in business transformation, ERP services, and technology innovation.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Experience in product management, service development, or business transformation.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to define value propositions, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into structured, repeatable, and scalable service offerings.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, working across sales, marketing, delivery, and customer success teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in market research and competitor analysis.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with high level of attention to detail.
  • Comfortable presenting to customers, industry forums, and senior leadership teams.
  • Experience within ERP, business transformation, or consultancy-based service models.
  • Understanding of digital change management and its impact on organisations.
  • Knowledge of product management frameworks (e.g., Lean Product Management, Agile, Service Blueprinting).
  • Experience of product management tools such as Productboard, JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of subscription-based services.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Understanding of Public Sector, NHS, HE, or not-for-profit organisations.
  • Knowledge of subscription-based services.
  • Exposure to integration platforms and middleware solutions.
  • Experience in identifying and managing strategic technology or consultancy partnerships.

What are we looking for?

  • Commercial mindset – ability to define value propositions, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Strategic thinker – capable of shaping structured, repeatable, and scalable service offerings.
  • Market-driven approach – experience in market research and competitor analysis to drive innovation.
  • Stakeholder engagement – strong collaboration across sales, marketing, delivery, and customer success teams.
  • Product/service development experience – ideally within business transformation, ERP, or consultancy models.
