March 2026 saw #TeamPink come together once again to take on the 26 miles in 26 days challenge, raising an incredible £1,127 for Young Epilepsy.
This challenge has become an important moment in the Embridge calendar, bringing the team together to support a cause that is deeply personal to us all. We take part in memory of Leo, the son of our Founder and CEO, Emma O’Brien, who sadly passed away in December 2023 at the age of 11 due to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). In his memory Emma has also established Leo’s Angels, a memorial fund dedicated to harnessing technology to improve epilepsy care.
The 26 Miles in 26 Days challenge built up to Purple Day on 26th March, the international day dedicated to raising awareness of epilepsy. It’s a global movement focused on improving understanding of the condition and supporting those living with epilepsy.
For us, this challenge has been about turning awareness into action. All funds raised go to Young Epilepsy, a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people living with epilepsy through specialist care, education and research. Their work helps young people and their families navigate the challenges of epilepsy and access the support they need to thrive.
I always enjoy getting involved in Young Epilepsy’s ‘26 miles in 26 days’ challenge. It’s an easy way to highlight the cause and raise vital support. Even small steps can make a big difference.

26 Miles of dedication and team spirit
What made this challenge so impactful is how the team came together to make it happen. Throughout March, colleagues found time in their routines to get involved, whether that meant rethinking their daily journeys or making the most of time outdoors.
There were some standout moments along the way, including hikes across Yorkshire, coastal walks and visits to Blackpool beach, exploring waterfalls and countryside routes, and a trip to Caldicot Castle. There was even a journey through the Cotswolds, with a visit to Diddly Squat Farm from the TV show Clarkson’s Farm. Ade Daini, Business Development Executive at Embridge, also took on the Battersea Park 10K in support of the cause! Every journey played a part in reaching the final total, and the photos shared along the way captured just how much fun the team had while supporting such an important cause!
It’s been amazing to see the team take on this voluntary challenge once more with such energy and commitment. Not only did they raise vital funds for a cause that is close to my family’s heart, but they also helped share the incredible work that Young Epilepsy does. It’s been brilliant to see people join in in their own ways and the conversations and photos that came from it. A huge thank you to everyone who got involved!

Supporting Young Epilepsy with a Purple Day bake sale
To mark purple day, the team at the Bristol office hosted a bake sale, adding an extra boost to the fundraising. The Bristol team came together to create a fantastic spread of home-baked treats, supporting Young Epilepsy and showing great teamwork in the process.
The Purple Day bake sale alone raised an impressive £180, adding to our overall total of £1,127 for Young Epilepsy. Every penny goes directly to support their vital work with children and young people living with epilepsy.
A team effort to change lives
