Covering all elements of the Unit4 ERP Sales to Cash lifecycle, this half day course will give you an excellent grounding for customer management, enabling you to enhance your internal processing.

Learning outcomes

Learn about the elements of the Sales to Cash lifecycle in the Unit4 ERP and where these business processes will be included in the proposed software solution, and which elements will be fulfilled by other, existing systems, manual processes or add-ons.

The objectives of this course are to help you:

  • Understand the Sales to Cash (S2C) workstream.
  • Understand the S2C processes encompassing the activities involved in creation of the customer record, recording and processing orders for these customers, invoicing and the credit control / payment follow-up / debt chasing processes.

Familiarisation – Record to Report (R2R) Finance

Some knowledge of Accounts Receivable would be advantageous.

Session 1

Sales to Cash overview

In this session we will discuss the Accounts Receivable process, beginning with the creation of customers, invoicing customers, all the way through to the debt recovery process.


Session 2

Customer Creation and Amendment

In this session you will be given an introduction to the standard customer master file record in the Unit4 ERP.

You will be given an overview on:

  • What the customer master file is and its uses for HR
  • What information can be captured
  • How information can be amended

Session 3

Sales Ordering and Invoicing

In this session you will be shown the process for raising of sales orders / invoices using the Unit4 ERP to understand the different mechanisms by which Sales Orders and Invoices can be raised, the functionality / enhancements within and approval processing:

  • Raising sales orders
  • Raising free text sales order
  • Sales orders in workflow
  • How invoices are raised

Session 4

Credit Control

In this session you will be shown the options available for credit control / debt chasing / payment follow-up covering:

  • Maintenance of open items
  • Payment plans
  • Action Overview
  • Reminder letters
  • Invoice write-offs

Session 5

Reporting

In this session you will be shown examples of customer reporting for:

  • A Statement of Accounts
  • Customer Aged Debt
  • Open Item per Customer
