This course builds on the Excelerator basics course by introducing additional functionality that enables you to improve the efficiency and use of Excelerator reports. The course covers topics such as templates, running reports on the server, output split and email split. Postback, pivot reports and creating mulit query reports and reports from an .RERX file.

Summary

This course is intended to provide you with an introduction to the advanced functionality of Excelerator for extracting data from Unit4 Business World and producing printed reports. It shows you how to create and run template reports, run reports on the server, produce multi query reports, produce reports from an .RERX file, how to split report output and how you can use the Post Back functionality to post transactions.

Session 1

Creating a report template and Management Report Pack

In this session we will create an Excelerator template report. Templates are reports that can generate multi-sheet loaded results from a single unloaded template sheet. Maybe your organisation needs to produce the same report for each Company, Division, Cost Centre, Project, Work Order? By using Excelerator template reports, you can generate one report per cost centre, or project, or employee.

Session 2

Adding and Running a report from a Web Menu and Splitting the Output

This session demonstrates how to run an Excelerator report from within Unit4 ERP web, split the output and email the report.

Session 3

Creating an Excelerator from a.RERX file

This session we will create an information browser and generate a pivot table report.

Session 4

Create a pivot table report

In this session we will create an information browser and generate a pivot table report.

Session 5

Multi Query Reports

This session demonstrates the use of multi queries within one report. This enables you to display data in multiple ways or extract data from different sources.

Session 6

PostBack

This session looks at how to post transactions into Unit4 ERP via the GL07 process. Post Back is one of the tools for adding data to, or altering data from, the database. There are many different ways of using Post Back, whether it be with the Planner tool or with GL07.
