Focusing on the General Ledger, this full day course for new and existing users alike, gives users the understanding on how to create and maintain their own financial transaction reports, supporting an efficient data analysis strategy.

Learning outcomes

This course is intended to give you an understanding of the Web Reporting function within the Unit4 ERP system, otherwise known as ‘Information Browsers’ so that you can apply that knowledge when designing / building your own reports. NB: Web Reporting activities can take place in any module of the system but is used in the same way throughout and this course focuses on those system elements that are most used and customised and covers:

  • Results Filtering
  • Adding Properties as Columns
  • Saving and Exporting
  • Analysing results

In this session you will receive an overview about the reporting objects administration so you can understand the base elements of the reporting tool.

Session 2

Information Browser Creation

In this session you will gain an understanding of the tool, its terminology and functions enabling you to create your own browser reports.

You will cover:

  • Terminology
  • How to create a new report
  • Filtering Results
  • Choosing Columns
  • Creating Expressions
  • Viewing Results

Session 3

Information Browser Management

In this session you will gain an understanding of the tool, its terminology and functions enabling you to manage and maintain your reports.

You will cover:

  • Results Activities
  • Formatting
  • Grouping and Sorting
  • Filtering results
  • Saving and Exporting
  • Amending Reports

Session 4

Analysis

In this session you will have an overview of the reporting methods in Unit4 ERP. and understand how the Analysis tool allows you to create a visual representation of report data so that you can review and share it.
