Summary

Control over your purchasing is fundamental to your budgets and targets, so enabling informed decision making is a key tool in your procurement.

This one day course will give a good grounding on how the purchasing functionality in the system is maintained assisting your users in maintaining best practice procedures that will keep your procurement choices aligned to your bottom line.

Learning outcomes

This course is designed to give you an understanding of how Unit4 ERP Procurement is built and take you through the entire end-to-end Procurement lifecycle, and how you can maintain this for your organisation.

The objectives of this course are to help you understand:

  • The basic structure of the Unit4 ERP Purchase Orders and its interaction with other areas of U4 ERP
  • The structure of the product file and how to set up new products
  • The setup for requisitioning and Unit4 ERP Web to enable purchase orders to be processed
  • How to raise a requisition and purchase orders for services and products
  • How goods received is performed and its significance to Procurement
  • How workflow can be incorporated into the processes to include approval

Session 1

P2P End to End Overview​

In this session you will be given an understanding of the P2P end to end process in the Unit4 ERP, and how it is setup including any touchpoints to other areas such as Accounts Payable.

Session 2

Unit4 ERP Setup

In this session you will be learn the supporting setup required for purchasing.

The areas it will explain are:

  • Checking Unit4 ERP ‘Common’ setup
  • Checking users, roles, menus, and responsible setup

Session 3

Purchasing Setup

In this session you will be learn how to setup the unit4 ERP for Purchasing and the different options available.

The areas it will explain are:

  • How to Setup Products and Product Groups
  • How to Setup Requisitions and Purchase Orders

Session 4

Procurement – End-to-End
In this session you will gain an understanding of how to carry out the entire Procurement process end-to-end.

  • Procurement End-to-End Lifecyle
  • Requisition Entry

  • Goods Receipting
