Designed for users who need to create and maintain Unit4 ERP Forms and Flexi-Fields in support of the various workstreams, this one day course gives an understanding of the setup and maintenance of these tools to increase data compliance and internal process productivity.

The objectives of this course are to help you:

  • Understand the purpose of Flexi-fields and Forms.
  • Build a Flexi-field as a new tab against a Master File.
  • Create a Flexi form and apply workflow to it.
  • Learn how to view form data using Information Browsers

Course Structure

Session 1

Overview of Flexi-Fields

In this session you will have an overview of flexi-fields and how they are used within the different modules of the Unit4 ERP.

Session 2

Setting up a Flexi field

In this session you will follow the sequence of setting up a Flexi field including:

  • Using Flexi Field Group Definitions
  • Linking the Flexi-Field to an Attribute
  • Giving User and Role Access
  • Updating and Maintenance
  • Building, Testing and Validation
  • Complex Data Types

Session 3

Overview of Forms

In this session you will have an overview of forms and how they are used within the different modules of the Unit4 ERP to covert paper processes into electronic processing.

Session 4

Creating a Form and making it Dynamic

In this session you will create the elements needed for an electronic form and gain an understanding of the setup processes for:

  • Creating the Form Attribute
  • Creating Auto numbering for the Form
  • Giving User / Role Menu Access to Form Administration and the Form
  • Creating and Moving Menu Points for the Form

Session 5

Overview of Forms in Workflow

In this session you will learn how to use workflow in the approval processing of a form using the following steps:

  • Create element type based on attribute
  • Setup the element type details

Session 6

Form Enquiries and Reports

In this session we will show you an overview of how forms can be enquired on and used in reporting.
