Well what year it has been!  Like many of you I am sure the last 12 months have flown past.  As we wind down and head towards the festive season it is always a good time to reflect on some of the challenges, the triumphs and the lessons learned.

For Embridge Consulting we entered 2011 with what was the busiest time of year for us. Preparing for a full implementation of ABW 5.5  Financials, Human Resources, Logistics, PCB, CRM Lite complete with self service functionality across a user base of approx 550 people. The launch went very smoothly on 1st Feb 2011 and the client was extremely happy with the results. Working with a fantastic team from the senior executives, Unit 4 consultants to the business systems team, IT team, end user trainer’s it was a very enjoyable implementation to be involved in.

Since that time we have continued to work with the client to embed the system whilst continually planning developments and improvements as part of a long term development plan and relationship.  Post implementation support is so often overlooked but at Embridge we completely understand that this is as important as getting you through the implementation itself.

In March we attended the Agresso User Conference in Manchester where it was great to meet existing clients and new clients alike. Networking and getting to share  experiences is so important, we look forward to seeing many of you again
in Feb 2012 in Birmingham.

After the hype of 5.6 at the conference we were as keen to be involved in an upgrade so we could help explore and implement some of the benefits and new functionality that is now available.  In May 2011 we were pleased to be involved in such a project and after what seemed at times to be quite a painful process, we are now looking forward to our first 5.6 client going live in Feb 2012.

Then of course there is the work around the ‘Global Implementation Solution’; a new UK product that is being developed by Unit4.  After seeing for years now the pain that international professional services organisations have to go through to implement a common solution, we are really pleased to have had the opportunity to be involved in this development. We are just closing out a proof of concept using a sample of client setup and look forward to implementing this in 2012 across an international professional
services organisation. So 2012 looks very exciting.  We have a large international implementation to look forward to which spans Europe, Australia, Middle East, India and Asia. Approx 450 people will be operating in the new Chinese language pack and the entire solution will be delivered using 5.6.

Amongst others we have now established some very good long term relationships with organsiations across the charity, private and public sector and aim to build on this in the coming months. Our growing team is ‘forming’ very well and we look forward to keeping you up to date as the year progresses using our blog.

So for now, I think all that is left to say is I hope you enjoy our new website.
Have a very merry Christmas and a successful 2012.

Emma O’Brien
