Whats Does HR Digital Transformation Look Like In 2021

2020 saw HR professionals moving from a traditional mindset and looking to digitally transform their operations.

As an ERP consultancy we’ve been involved in a number of high profile Digital Transformation programmes many of which have included Human Resource Software or HCM (Human Capital Management) as part of the major project.

However 2020 saw HR professionals moving from a traditional mindset and looking to digitally transform their operations to take advantage of automating many of their manual processes.

What is HR Digital Transformation?

In its simplest form HR Digital Transformation is the implementation of technology to facilitate data-driven decisions, move from paper based records and automation of manual processes.

Covid-19 has in reality accelerated the HR digital transformation revolution and 2021 it is looking like many more organisations will follow suit. The three main areas for 2021 consist of:

  • Self Service: There is an overriding need for employees to be able to access and amend their own information, access wages slips, book absences online moving away from the aged tradition of paper based records.
  • With many teams working from home which is looking to continue certainly into the early part of 2021 a strong focus will continue on employee wellbeing and employee engagement.
  • Organisations more than ever need to be able to make key decisions based upon accurate data and this is where technology comes into its element.

However, jumping straight into a new implementation project just because the market dictates a new trend can ultimately lead to major issues or project failure.

Over the coming posts we’ll look at how organisations can follow a tried and testing process to deliver a new HR revolution that not only works, but will transform the way your business looks at HR and delivers across the organisation.
